I spent my sordid youth doing manly things like fighting, hunting, fishing, camping, lifting weights, being a S.W.A.T. cop and riding motorcycles wherever the road would take me. If I were to be candid here, I’d confess that there’s never been a point in my life when I’ve dreamed of being a partner in a women’s fitness wear company, yet here we are. Love will do that to a man, and I’d follow Ana Tigre anywhere.

Blessed Bodywear is her dream, and I could not be more proud of how hard she works and how much honesty and passion and care she pours into her clients every day. I know my way around a camera, and a business plan, so I help out where I can, but she is the heart and soul of our company.

Anyone that has owned a clothing company knows it’s a fast way to get ulcers or go broke or both. We’ve been at this for around nine years now and while dealing with customers has been amazing, dealing with the manufacturing end of things has been a constant nightmare. It’s high time we change things.

We are in the process of setting up a production facility in Las Vegas, so the problems will be our creation rather than someone that doesn’t care about our customers. Ana will do what she does amazingly well, design all kinds of new clothing styles, and we will cut and sew and silkscreen every last piece in our warehouse.

I also added a recording studio and an area to do photography in the warehouse so it will be an awesome creative space for me to do all kinds of things I have wanted to do. I’ll manage the day to day business stuff, and Ana will raise our children and keep the house the way she wants to, again, something she loves to do. It’s a little Elm Street sounding, but I suppose at the end of the day, Ana and I are Elm Street kinda folks.

Yesterday Ana brought the kids to the warehouse. They love the place. We rode my skateboard and ran like fools, and I was reminded of our many blessings. It made me think about how we will be able to bless so many others, and that’s the best reason to get out of bed each morning.

All of this is the realization of a dream we had. God most certainly had his hand in making it all happen. I can’t wait to show him what we can do with it now.
